360-Degree Feedback
A performance review method that gathers input from an employee's managers, peers, subordinates, and sometimes clients.
Definition
360-degree feedback is a performance evaluation approach where an employee is assessed by everyone around them — their manager, peers, direct reports, and occasionally external stakeholders — instead of relying on a single manager's opinion. The goal is a fuller, more balanced picture of someone's strengths and blind spots.
Why It Matters
It reduces bias from any one reviewer and surfaces feedback employees might not otherwise hear, which is why many performance management systems, including HR Niti's, support multi-rater review cycles.
